Frank Meadow Sutcliffe

I don’t think there’s many sculptures that commemorate photographers, but there is this one in Whitby.

Frank Meadows Sutcliffe photographed in Whitby in the late Victorian and Edwardian times.

A quick walk across town to buy kippers, then I headed for York to spend a couple of nights with my parents. I drove around the moors, and Roseberry topping was looking fabulous in a coating of snow, though I didn’t spot anywhere I could easily stop for an image.
