Water of Leith
Had another training walk today. Unfortunately my two walking friends were both ill so I just had my trusty mp3 player for company. In a way it was nice, the fast tempo tunes kept me at a good pace and I finished the 16 miles in just a little over 4 hours. I know to anyone who ran the Edinburgh marathon today, the thought of someone being proud of walking 16 miles with no aches seems silly but for me it's a big acheivement.
I had a slightly more focused shot of this Heron but I liked that I'd caught it preening itself so kept this one for today. Saw a lot of ducks and a few more herons. I wanted to blip a beautiful Husky but then chickened out of asking the lady's permission to photograph her dog. I think after the marathon I might keep up my weekend walks (though on a smaller scale) I've been really enjoying the Water of Leith. 7 years living in Leith and I'd only ever ventured about a mile along it.
Ps) backblipped to Thursday
