Sun on the hill
Today I spent quite a long time on the Magdalen Hill Butterfly Reserve. The weather was superb, sun, blue sky, and big fluffy white clouds. I went because I wanted to know how the cowslips were doing, whether any were out yet. I found one, in a sheltered spot (there aren't many of those up there). It's in extras - the first of the millions to come. Also in extras is a skylark standing on a cowpat, lord of all he surveys. Expect quite a few of you will be saying why didn't she use that as the main - I'm asking that myself - but in my defence it's the first I've posted all winter, plus it's my journal and if I want to put squashy fungi first I will ;)))
I think from reading more knowledgeable blippers journals that this is a turkeytail fungi? Is that right?
Okay, that's all, folks. Have a fine evening xx
