Beautiful morning.. sleety afternoon

Early station drop,
gorgeous sunny walk, but then..
rain, hail, sleet despair.

Mr KCNQ2Haiku has been in London today, just for the day so Ben and I got up at 5am and dropped him at the station to make the morning a bit easier for him. As you know, Ben is not opposed to an early start!! So that was fine.  It looked like it was going to be a lovely day, I took Ben to school and then Leo and I had a walk over the fields and around the edge of the lake.  It was very muddy but that seems to be standard these days.  I had to get back for a shopping delivery, then I popped out to the local shops to do some Mother's Day bits and pick up something for Mr KCNQ2Haiku's sister's birthday.  I spoke to my Dad and did some hoovering and then it was time to fetch Ben.  I went a bit early thinking that I would walk Leo when I got there but Hail Stones were smashing down onto the car and then rain and then some sort of sleetish mixture.  I chickened out.  Poor Leo (or maybe phew for Leo!!) Ben has been OK, I'm just about to start all his bath time/bedtime routines and hopefully Mr KCNQ2Haiku will be back by 8:30pm :-)
It's really cold though, don't you think??
