Mise en place
When the chefs and cooks on the telly put all their ingredients in little bowls, it’s called mise en place.
I do it occasionally, depending on what I’m making – usually more washing up for Mr Pandammonium.
The weather was sunny this morning, then it blew a hoolie and our blue-bin rubbish all down the street. As we chased down the street after it, bitter raindrops that tried hard to be snowdrops chased us.
The postman looked on.
The sun came back out when we’d stashed all the rubbish back in the bin and gone back inside.
