It's all about the light

A weird light this day when I looked out at the new growth on the nandina by the window.  It was not really bright or gray but the purple spiderworts in the background really showed out.   I had the 300mm on the camera for the birds and deer so it was hard to focus on the plant but it sure worked well for the background blur.  

It was 37F here this morning but warmed up pretty well with a hot sun even if the air feels cool.  Tonight is the supposed frost and freeze warning.  I have my newly planted seeds in pots in the house but the others that are in the ground and coming up are probably going to suffer a little.   Hoping with the hot sunshine that the earth will retain some heat until it warms up again tomorrow.      Spring in the south is always like this.  

I sure hope the peaches and strawberries make it!
