Poetry

This new collection of poetry arrived at the weekend and has been browsed this evening with a view to selecting some of the poems for display in my classroom. I'll probably start with this one (a message I definitely subscribe to and reference to Philip Larkin, one of my A-Level poets and currently being taught to my Y11s) but plan to rotate poems and there are plenty of options in this collection and the one that preceded it. 

Before poetry reading there was teaching, a dry duty day, supervision and meetings. Two consecutive strike days ahead which will be hard work but I am sure they will be survivable.
