Tuesday: Blue Sky …

… which came and went as the day moved on.
Photo taken just before 10am, I put some washing on and it was out on the washing line by midday. By 2pm there were spots of rain, MrD thought we should bring the washing in - the sky was overcast so I agreed, we got a bit wet taking the washing off the line but a few minutes later it was pouring with rain …!
MrD had gone out early to have the oil changed in the van and to get 2 new tyres fitted, whilst he was out I picked some of our leeks and made a large pan of leek and potato soup - lunch! :-))
Many of the garden birds are busy collecting nesting material, others are busy rooting around looking for insects to eat … as a change from sunflower hearts.
This evening we watched a nice programme about Scottish whisky, which took us on a journey from the islands to the cities with artists, musicians, foraging and the history and origins of whisky and whiskey making …
