Bookgroup

A very pleasant evening where we discussed 'The Life Examined' by Stephen Grosz amongst numerous other things. It was my turn to nominate 3 books which I find it quite hard as I joined a bookgroup to read one 'proper' book a month. This isn't helped by me currently reading ebooks or listening to books. it is much more difficult to recommend a range of books if all you can show is your kindle. Sometimes choosing a book is about picking it up, flicking through it and reading the reviews rather than a book summary with a sample. But a decision was reached and it is 'Life after Life' by Kate Atkinson. I have already read and enjoyed it and am looking forward to discussing it with others.

I don't mind if they hate it or love it. it is good to be able to discuss a book and hear what others have to say as someone will always take something different from you. The best nights are the ones where you have a range of opinions.
