National Memorial Arboretum

A lovely day out with a friend and her adorable grandson.

Yes, it was chilly and rather dull, but it was great to walk nearly as far as Riversmeet, my favourite part of the site. The Falklands Memorial bird was missing. Apparently, they are due to have a new, and much bigger sculpture, and the one they no longer need will be sited along the Lichfield Canal which is being lovingly, and impressively, restored.

A nice pie for lunch in a local pub.
Great fun, and a good catch up.
