Living

I’ve just lost my long rant about British films set in the recent past either explicitly - Mrs ‘Arris Goes to Paris, The Duke, Phantom of the Open - or implicitly, like Living, being about working class people triumphing in the British class system.

Much as I’ve liked Bill Nighy in other outings, I didn’t intend to see Living. It did alert me to the film it’s based on though. Unfortunately, Kurosawa’s original doesn’t seem to be available here.
