Deleted and redone, as the photo mysteriously disappeared! 
Sad news to report today as we found two adult female pheasants outside our house. Presumably they had just been hit by a car, as one was still alive, but barely.
While we walked Elvis I was hoping that someone would have taken them, but no. So MrF collected them, both were dead by now, hung them in the garage, and is now researching rigor mortis times and looking up pheasant recipes!
