Keeping watch.....

A rare sunshiny and mild day today, despite the forecast being for cloud and rain!

And we headed to a nearby garden centre today for their Pansy & Viola festival which is now in its' 20th year! So a riot of colourful plants for us to peruse and you also get a free hot drink if you fill in a form naming your 3 favourite varieties! An offer not to be turned down!!  But I was extremely good and didn't buy any plants despite the temptation.... yes I may need a lie down too over that shock!

And then we stopped at Battlesbridge Antiques Centre which is always a nice place to wander and look at goodies, although there wasn't as many sellers there as normal today, hopefully just because of the time of year and they'll return soon!  And how could we not be struck by this display!  Never seen an item of furniture like this before!

Managed to get out in the garden too this afternoon as my monthly gardening subscription box arrived. It's normally packets of seeds, but this month there were 4 perennials included - so I've had fun planting a peony, poppy, geranium and phlox!
