Clootie Dumpling

Met one of my oldest friends for lunch today to celebrate her birthday and she brought me a late birthday present - her home made clootie dumpling!
It looks and smells amazing and I’m really looking forward to a nice big slice with some custard later on.
Brings back such happy memories of childhood birthday parties where there was always a dumpling with silver threepenny bits hidden in it :-)
