Fire

So sad to wake up to the news of a devastating fire in town today which appears to have razed all but the 18th century facade of an iconic 400-year-old hotel. I don’t know what the future holds for the remains of the building but it is hard and terribly sad to imagine it not being there any more.

Thankfully, the Ukrainian refugees who were staying there all escaped unharmed. The local community has been rallying around today, donating clothes and other necessities and fundraising to help them get back on their feet (again).
