Flood
It has been bucketing rain for the last few days and before that we had snow so the land is waterlogged. Today the rain finally stopped in the afternoon. It was late by the time I took myself off to the Co-op for some food. The temperature had rocketed to a balmy 10 degrees centigrade so I took a little walk around the village. This is the new wildlife sanctuary where lots of trees were planted last year. It used to be used by the stables and this part always had a small loch after rain. I was sorry to see so much of the planting underwater but perhaps it is willow or some other water tolerant planting. It took this on the phone with not nearly enough light but it was the most interesting thing I had seen today.
