Matisse & Picasso …

… displayed at the Orangerie on the Place de la Concorde in Paris in the Matisse exhibition which is currently there. The painting is Matisse & the sculptured head is Picasso.

We were there this afternoon, accompanied by a very large and noisy crowd on the Place. We suspected and later confirmed on the evening news that it was a protest against the French President’s planned revisions to the retirement system. He has just imposed them by means of bypassing a vote in Parliamemt.
