The mood of the day

What a day! At nine o' clock it was still dark. The cloud is right down to sea level and the air thick with drizzle. A container that I left outside has collected inches of rain over night.
Today was going to be a gardening day (just for a change!) but I ain't going nowhere.
Lurking on the porch drinking my coffee I noticed that these species tulips, which I had put out as being finished, were actually looking rather lovely with their covering of rain drops, so I managed a few shots without getting the camera wet.
