Flooding

We've had so much rain that my route to the lake was closed. I drove round the barrier hoping the level across the road might have gone down but no, too much water for me to risk the Panda even with its high body and 4x4 wheels. I should have taken a picture. Turned round and took a different route. 
The jetty at Windermere was nearly underwater .  Rain is warmer than snow and sure enough :- 7ºC , 2 degrees warmer than last week. You can swim front crawl without your face going numb.
