No apology…

for yet another shot of the castle , because it was so beautiful today. The sun shone all day and the temperature rose to 13°! The Common Gulls have arrived here on their nesting site. Yesterday it was just old Heather stalks , today it is covered with about two hundred birds , discovering the best tussocks for nesting. On the loch shore, the first Redshank of the year perched on a rock, then flew off calling. Curlew, Oystercatchers and Lapwings were all feeding or bathing. Goldeneye were flocking further out. Greylag geese were there too. They will be the non migrants that nest up on the hill above the loch. So good to see and hear all this Spring life.
