Street Scene

We saw this today. As we parked, a man of the streets wheeled by with bottles and cans, and all of his earthly possessions in a shopping cart. This young lady hustled out of a store to give him this red backpack…just because. I don’t know if it was used or new. He was reluctant at first, but after a minute or so, he accepted. It renewed my faith in the vast majority of humanity.

When she walked back past us, I tapped on the window, and gave her a thumbs up. She looked at me, shrugged with a slight smile, like, “That’s what you do.”

Yes, that’s what you do.
