Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club ADAC

Quick blip on my way home from work, just before thunderstorm and torrential rain started. This is the new headquarters of ADAC, Europe's largest automobile club. In case you didn't know: Germans love their cars, and so it is no wonder that nearly 25% of the population are members of the German automobile club. The ADAC operates a huge fleet of roadside assistance and and air rescue vehicles (the so called Yellow Angels).

The new headquarters was completed in 2011, after the old one was torn down. The high rise is 92 metres tall and ranks 7th with Munich's highest buildings. In the meantime it should be obvious that there are no real skyscrapers in the fine city of Munich.
