CONFUSION

I could not believe my eyes! Narcissus in May???
Normally these bulbs are the first to flower heralding in the Spring, probably in July or August.
The Autumn leaves are in full colour still and now not only the narcissus are in bloom, but also some of the vygies in the front garden. They are indigenous after all and should not make a mistake! One can forgive the imported plants seasonal confusion but not the pragmatic vygies!
We have had wonderful weather with day time temperatures in the high twenties. The brief sharp thunder shower did little to provide moisture for the veld flowers and the little Karoo violets have lost their abundant blooms.
I do not think that we have skipped Winter for one moment, but lets face it this is confusing!
