Opus by Omniyat
G needed to be at a function near her school at 11 AM, so we all left home with her. Danny and I dropped her off and did my usual Monday routine (recycling, filling the car). I've been advised to use a fuel additive to help the engine. When added, the car should run for at least half an hour to get the juices into the engine, so we headed towards EXPO City.
I realised the cemetery where my Dad is interred isn't too far, so we went there first. EXPO City was quieter than I expected on a Saturday. Today, I finally rode on the EXPO Explorer - something G & I never did in our 19 visits! It was great to be able to show Danny the site.
Back to the city to pick up G, I got treated to a McDonald's lunch which we ate at the beach. Then home for a rest and quiet evening. G cooked a delicious tomato soup and a board of nibbles (fruit, cheese etc.). It's been a good Saturday.
Sadly, we learnt that our friend Sheila died yesterday. She and her husband ran the bookshop that G took over for a while in 2012.
PS. My main picture is of Zaha Hadid's building, Opus by Omniyat. When we drove through Business Bay, Danny mentioned he had done some design work for Omniyat, so we showed him the building. G got this super shot from her side of the car.
The extra is taken in the Mobility district at EXPO city. A more arty picture than I usually post! ;)
