Falstaff wakes up

It’s always lovely when trees wake up for spring. For those who are familiar with my garden, you’ll know that Falstaff is this apple variety, and the name of the tree. He’s a reliable heavy-cropper, with a miniature rootstock that’s happy in a pot. He’s self-fertile, but has a tiny crab apple to keep him company.
