Great Haywood Junction

A shot that I have taken many times before.  It is a nice easy shot to get on the day we are traveling home.  The marina is up a drive past the farm shop, so it is our habit to stop at the shop to buy food, etc to take home.

From the farm shop car park, we nip across the road onto the bridge for this type of shot.  The arch in the centre of the shot is the start of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal, which leads through to join the River Seven at Stourport.  To the left, the Trent and Mersey canal runs on as the name suggests to join the River Trent at Trentlock.  If you followed the canal to the right up the T&M you eventually can join the Mersey by way of the River Weaver.
