Seafood

Had nice fresh caught prawns for lunch today.
At one stage Australia had a high Biosecurity standard the so called tyranny of distance but know there seems to be such  a lackadaisical attitude and just about any raw or uncooked  foodstuff is allowed into the country ie: white spot disease in prawns which decimated prawning on east coast and of late the dreaded Varroa mite which is decimating bee colonies in NSW and other east coast states which in turn greatly reduce pollination of food crops.
The prawns on the left were $18 a kilo and are frozen from Thailand.
