A Bright and Glorious Day….

This morning Maisie and I walked much later then usual. I drove to the Burleigh Bridge car park just upstream. The walk was over a familiar route that we have not followed for ages. The river crossing at the “Omaka Ford” has been re-engineered and has three very large pipes through the built up shingle and stone structure. Hopefully it may now withstand future flood flows. On our way back to the car, via the true right bank, we spent some time watching Go-Carts being raced on Marlborough’s superb Go-Cart Racing Track. Apparently a very important race-day was underway. Very interesting to watch.
