Sunset Snowstorm / Let Me Rest
My husband got the urge to have a fish dinner, so we ran into town to do just that. After we had eaten, we stopped nearby for a little walk through a big field and up to an old graveyard surrounded by a stone wall and odd trees.
This is Benner Cemetery (in the extras), and it features pretty graves against a rural scene and a big sky, which was full of amazing clouds on this day. It is always peaceful there, a good place for the weary to rest.
In separate news, around sunset, when we were home, a big snow squall came through, and it really let us have it for a few minutes. Oddly enough, the sun came out, and set for us, just as it all moved through. Above is a photo looking out our back door into the snowy, golden, pink sunset. Rose gold, anyone?
It's my custom to include soundtrack songs, and for the pink sunset above, here is the artist Pink, covering the Prince hit, Nothing Compares 2 U. For the cemetery shot in the extras, here is the Cox Family, with I Am Weary, Let Me Rest, from the soundtrack to the film O Brother Where Art Thou.
