Teenage gift
When I was in my teens my mother gave me this smart little jewellery box which I used for many years. Then I was given a much grander one, so this one was put away, but I kept it of course. I found it recently, empty except for some Guinea Fowl feathers brought home from Kenya and the little gift card signed by my mother with her usual Mummmmmmy with so many ms. Remembering her on Mothering Sunday.
I had a wonderful long chat with son J on the phone this morning, and a delivery of flowers. He and M are busy with their family all day.
