Witch Elm

J has photographed this tree a few times over the years, it can be found just past Lucy's lovely garden near Ulva Ferry. I am working in the garden and decided to make a start by planting a few shrubs before we leave for London on Saturday. Lucy has a good range of plants and using the theory that 'if they grow in her garden they must survive here' I have taken the plunge. The drive over the hill road was beautiful, a perfect morning to wander and take in the delights of the view out to sea and of the islands.
