Not for the faint of heart!

Took a small angle grinder to Ollie today and installed an original reversing camera, the only option we really missed. Grinding the square cutout to install physical camera wasn’t the trickiest part, routing the cable all the way to the front was the most finicky.

The most agonising was removing the tailgate inner panel, because some numbnut engineers at VW thought it to be a good idea to fix it with rivet nuts in plain sheet metal and then put bolts in with loctite. You can’t undo the bolt, you can just spin the rivet nuts, so we had to drill them out and then grind the rest off (see extras) so we could replace them with better rivet nuts and install them with regular bolts… thanks to uncle B for helping out!
