By chance we popped into the Design Museum in Ghent. It is being renovated so only one part is open with an exhibition inspired by traditional
Ukrainian crafts. This is an example of the Gunya (shepherd’s coat) on display. It was a really interesting exhibition. - and the jackets were extraordinary so tough warm and strong - some made on looms, others knitted and a designer in Amsterdam is now experimenting with using fungi in the production of this type of clothing.
