One of the chooks in the farm shop's chicken run

I checked and restocked my cards at the farm shop, bought some mores suet pellets, various fresh vegetables, and a new buddleia plant which looks to have lovely dark purple flowers, from the attached label.

When I returned to the car I noticed a pretty swathe of daffodils planted on a bank beside the cage for the free-range chickens to roam around in whilst also being protection from the fox. I couldn't resist taking a picture of this cockerel with the rather tired crocus flowers on the edge of the yard.
