Lovely Day

We had a lovely Church service this morning with a Mothers Day theme and a gift for all the ladies. Then as it’s our daughters birthday too we went out for carvery lunch which was lovely, with Our sons and daughter and one sons partner and Eithan and Rafe so some missing. We finished with Birthday cake. We then went for a Quarry walk with Birthday Girl, Eithan, Rafe and us Granny and Grandpa. It’s very hilly, and I was concerned about the walk as I’m still only 13 weeks into a one year recovery - but it was lovely, there were lots of ‘Animals’ to see and stunning views, it’s still a working quarry - Eithan and Rafe were happy to know that Grandpa often goes right down into the quarry to collect building materials. We later popped up to see Paige as she had written out a lovely card for me too, so we had a cuppa there with them, now home to watch a bit of tv and relax. I was very spoilt as a Mum, with a new Scabious plant and a lovely Terracotta pot for it too and a voucher for a Cream Tea for later use and some lovely cards too.
