Goldfinch

Today has been lovely relaxing Mothers Day. I spent the morning at home doing some gardening - trying to balance keeping the garden spring wildlife friendly ( not cutting back & tidying ) and keeping on top of it so it doesn't get out of control. I've cut back dead stems but left leaf mould and rotting stuff at the moment.
Then mum came round for lunch - her transfusion definitely seems to have helped as she has been much brighter and less 'foggy' the last couple of days.
The feeder in the tree at the front was very popular with chaffinches and goldies this afternoon. I managed to get a few shots and am currently watching Cassie trying very hard to interact with David Attenborough on the TV - a picture in the extras :)
