Thwarted plans
For Mother’s Day. Liam still poorly. I FaceTimed with him this morning and he looked dreadful, and although he said he felt a little better we both decided he would be better off at home in bed as he needs to be ok for work tomorrow.
So, James and I walked Dog to the bench and sat a while. As we came away we bumped into Moira and Pete walking their dogs, so chatted a bit. We left in opposite directions, and as we turned we saw that they too were now sitting on B’s bench. A touching moment.
We two went to the restaurant I had booked for 4 for lunch and apologised! Meal was lovely, although James still suffering greatly with the pain in his gums. He left straight after dropping me off as he had to collect the girls who had spent the day with their mum. I always feel a bit flat after any of them leave, so on his recommendation put on the new Luther film. A bit far fetched in places, but it stopped me thinking of myself, I had to concentrate on the plot, and let’s face it Iris is easy on the eye!
Although it wasn’t the weekend we had planned, it was nice to spend time on my own with James. We discussed some of the recent traumas, some politics and the tv and films we had seen. It was peaceful and relaxing, which I think he needed.
The photo is my Mother’s Day present, the three circles symbolising him and the girls. When Megan FaceTimed, she said that the glittery one in the middle symbolised her!
