A productive day
We had visits from two removal companies this morning to look at what needs to be packed, transported to the South Island and stored until we return from our trip and can move into our new house in Oamaru, so it was an interesting morning. One more company was due tomorrow, but an appointment that the representative has been waiting for for a long time has materialised, so that might not happen.
After the two visits were completed, we set out to purchase a new duvet, an electric blanket and new pillows. We haven’t had a guest bedroom in the apartment, but we will in our new house, so we’ve bought a new bed. Our current bed and duvet will be used for the guest bedroom, and we’ll have the new ones. My old electric blanket had died, so a new one was required, and we also needed new pillows for the guest bed. Mission accomplished. I’m not happy about the plastic packaging, though, but there doesn’t seem to be any way around it.
After lunch I finished sorting the clothes in my wardrobe and drawers and managed to cull a few items that will go to the op shop. So that is another task marked off the list.
I’ve included a photo of the electric blanket, duvet and the pillows, which are vacuum packed. The duvet is made from Alpaca wool, which is “cleaner” and lighter than sheep wool apparently. I’ve also included two photos of the sunset. We won’t have this view for much longer, so I’ll probably bore everyone with photos until we move out.
I’m still behind but not quite as much.
