Alone again!

So the excitement that we - and presumably Kanji here - felt when we adopted a companion for him on Saturday has been short lived.
Shortbread started ‘nesting’ yesterday - which set off alarm bells. I managed to get a vets appointment for today, but not before she had started lining her nest with fur.
And yes, the vet confirmed my fears. She was pregnant.
Although we have decades of bunny experience we have none with baby bunnies. To cut a long story short , she is now back in the care of Pets at Home/Vets4 Pets until we are able to re-adopt her.
It’s quite sad really.
