When life gives you lemons

Gracia, the owner of the house, gave me some more lemons today. I've still got half a dozen of the last lot ... lemonade is on the cards. I'd make preserved lemons, but these are too big for that really. Might make lemon meringue pie too.

It was a bit cooler today; unusually, while I found it too cool to sit on the terrace in the shade, and Gracia laughed at me for wearing a jacket, S put his swimming trunks on and sunbathed.

We met G and A in town in the evening, for drinks, a few nibbles, and discussion of projects. Unbeknown to us, it was a bank holiday today in honour of San José (actually yesterday) so most places were closed and it was very quiet.

We learned from Ines today that the house we rented last year is for sale, for a cool 700,000 euros. It is a lovely location, but we agreed that rather than try to fix the numerous problems with it, it would probably be cheaper to demolish and rebuild it. Somewhat beyond our means in any case!
