Allelujah- a moral dilemma

Just back from seeing this film set in a small Yorkshire geriatric hospital threatened with closure by the NHS.

Any film dealing with old age and the NHS touches on a raw nerve with the public. How do we deal with end of life?

Its based on a short story by Alan Bennett with a star cast of Jennifer Saunders Judi Dench and Derek Jacobi.

Critics have given it mixed reviews. But it opens up a much-needed conversation on death and how we deal with our ageing population, especially when faced with diminishing resources.

I am all for people having the option to take control over their own end of life. But the discussion is too late by the time you end up with dementia in a geriatric ward and you have no control over your life.
It’s a huge moral dilemma.
What do you think?
