Big Bulbs and Smokey smells!

Less sweet than the smell of the wallflowers that I showed yesterday, these smoked garlic bulbs certainly have an attractive and appetizing aroms.

They are on display at the Sunday Market that has become a fixture in Summertown, near here, and that I have described in previous weeks. I think that they have been brought from the Isle of Wight, where they are grown.

There are certainly lots of good smells to detect at the market. Just by the garlic, this big pan of paella is being cooked and I think it's just about ready to eat!

It's almost as though we are in France (wishful thinking, I'm afraid).
