Speak Your Truth and Orzo Pasta Salad
A very quiet day. Totally exhausted from my short weekend break.
I spent today on the phone and writing emails re life admin and then flaked out at 1pm for about two hours.
I felt awful as I slept through the alarm I had set to ring one of my best friends, Rosie. I had been trying to ring her since Saturday afternoon.
Thankfully, she understands chronic fatigue as she has ME and other chronic, invisible illnesses like myself. I texted her to say sorry, she texted me back and I need to reply in the morning.
Today’s main Blip is of notes I jotted down in a book called Speak Your Truth by Fearne Cotton. It was published two years ago. I found it when I was sitting through some books I am planning to donate.
Arranging to have them uplifted. I’m hoping to donate them to the local NHS Specialist Drug and Alcohol centre.
They have a Creative Writing session on a Friday morning in town and I thought a lot of the service users would appreciate the books - plus it will clear some space! They produce some amazing pieces of writing, which doesn’t surprise me at all. They publish them on their Facebook page from time to time.
My extra is of this evening’s dinner - shop bought Orzo pasta salad with vinaigrette. It was delicious. I had a pear and green smoothie for dessert.
Rested all day and then did a small top up food shop - everything is getting more and more expensive by the day. It’s a worry. It was incredibly dreich and damp which my fibro was not chuffed about!
I will catch up with comments, stars and hearts as soon as possible :)
