Last Leaving of Leith

HMS Edinburgh leaves the Port of Leith for the final time before her decommissioning.

On board are several dignitaries, the full ships company and ten Sea Cadets, including my little Euphling, bottom row second from left.

I'm so proud of him; I had a little tear in my eye as they sailed past.

Later I drove up to work at Archerfield, East Lothian, in time to give them a wave as they went past along the Firth of Forth at full steam (or whatever the term is).
