my little crocuses

I love playing with the light in pictures and I love my pretty flowers. I love watching little birds racing around the ground. I planted the rest of my plants. I watched a worm stick its head out and try to figure out what had just happened. I took pictures of it, but I'm sharing the crocuses instead. I turned on the water and didn't check the front and my neighbor saw water gushing out the front spigot and turned it off.

Spring!

The Cherry Blossoms are about at peak.

Japan's Mr. Kishida visited Ukraine. They imposed sanctions on Russia and provided billions of dollars in financial aid and helmets and bulletproof vests.

Russia's space program is in trouble. They had a coolant leak. Then they had another one. They had to cancel a spacewalk. Not easy when no one likes you and no one wants to work with you. NASA is going to stop counting on Russia for cargo deliveries, reducing its space revenue. Kazakhstan seized Russia's spaceport because of debt. Russia tried to build a new one but it has construction problems, delays, and, surprise surprise, corruption. They are supposed to collaborate with China in the future, but Russia keeps failing in its space missions and China keeps succeeding and why would China hang with the kid who can't cut it?

Three drones hit Belgorod the night of Feb 27. Belgorod is a Russian city close to the border. One broke a window, the other two dented cars. Ten days later workers at a small town in Russia found a small bomb they think was dropped from a drone. Later that day an FSB building exploded, yet another strange and mysterious fire. Officially Ukraine says it has nothing to do with it. Unofficially, Russia hitting Ukraine and Ukraine not able to hit back puts Ukraine at a disadvantage and privately, Ukrainian officials have admitted they have played a role in strikes in Crimea at least. Regarding the fire, "Ukraine doesn't interfere, but watches with pleasure."

In December Ukrainian drones struck the Saratov Engels-2 air base, twice.

Last month a drone tried to hit a gas compression station in Kolomna, about 50 miles south of the Kremlin. Images indicate it was Ukrainian. The attack failed, but, you know, kinda close. There are at least 27 publicly reported drone attacks on high-value targets in Russia. They don't all work, but they are scaring people. They are bringing home that this is a war.
