Ducky

Went to the Botanics blipmeet, where I met up with Annejohn and Jon_Davey. I waited for a few minutes at the pond to see if I could spot the kingfisher for DH, but had to make do with this mallard drake in terms of irridescent plumage. He was very full of himself.

And I just happened to notice that Cyclops was in the very same Botanics a few hours later!

Last time I went I blipped a beautiful tree - this time I noticed another striking tree, but it didn't photograph well, so it's the extra. I went in to the darkness to find the label on its trunk: Quercus ilex, which suggests to me holly-leaved oak? Certainly evergreen, and very handsome.
