Greenery

After the rain the vegetation becomes so lush and that wonderful smell. Can this be the start of warmer weather and should I say that out loud. Today for the first time in a long, long time, I had bare arms outside. Not just for an hour but for my morning dog walk - where I heard the strains of 'Scottish Soldier' being practiced on the bagpipes in the grounds of Holyrood Palace (probably practising for the Garden party). Arms were still bare for my cycle to and from work AND my evening dog walk. Is this too good to be true, there is rain forecast tomorrow, but apparently hot weather next week [when I am in Venice and it is raining!]. They say that all us Scots can talk about is the weather - no wonder when we are filled with such jubilation at a sunny day!
