Didn’t actually taste this card - just the chocolates - gift for Mother’s Day

Woke up to discover swollen foot and ankle - couldn’t find any shoes that fit - ended up wearing walking sandals that wouldn’t fasten over infected blister - but fit everywhere else - painful to walk - caught bus for only two stops to meet up with fellow toddler volunteers - at neighbouring village garden centre - one of whom delivered me - by car - to the village pharmacy for advice - which was make immediate appointment at local health centre - had telephone consultation - sent photos - antibiotic prescription awaits for me tomorrow

Downside is I couldn’t limp to join friends for teatime drinks at local - won’t walk with the ladies tomorrow - can’t get walking boots on - have to spend time sitting down with leg elevated - upside is I now answer to the name of Hop-A- Long - have approval watch catch up TV and read - but unsure how to do a jigsaw with an elevated leg
