Five Faces That Only A Mother Could Love
I visited Amwell Nature Reserve again this afternoon on a fruitless quest for dragons and damsels. :(
I stopped on a bridge over the River Lea Navigation as terns were swooping low over the water catching the myriads of flies. Like the swifts I was shooting yesterday, terns are very quick. They are beautiful delicate birds, shame some of my promising shots are a bit soft.
Mother moorhen was catching flies to feed to her pop-eyed brood.
