Air Tanker
Today ZZ330, the first of the Royal Air Forces new Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft (FSTA) was in Prestwick.
Did a bit of digging and discovered that 14 of these Airbus A330 converted planes have been ordered as part of a PFI deal. Air Tanker (the PFI Company) will operate the Aircraft with 8 on permanent lease to the Royal Air Force. The others will be available for charter to other organisations but can always be recalled for active duty.
Best viewed large where you can see the guy cleaning the windshield.
Who would have thought it, PFI for the RAF. OMG!
Back blipped for Monday due to unforeseen computer issues.
